Announcement of our CS:GO team
Among a variety of ideas and plans that we have and try to realize is the establishment of CroHQ.org teams in various games. Since this year we started with CS:GO tournaments we also started with the search for players interested in forming a CroHQ.org CS:GO team.
For the team manager we selected our Vrba who will deal with finding players, relationships, seeking opponents, leagues, cups and various other things that a person in that position should be doing 😉
Since this is his first attempt, as it is ours, to do something like that, we will not rush into anything and we will try to put together a good team for an indefinite period of time. The initial search began on CS Adria site where we have plenty of players who are looking for a team and found a number of interested parties which we connect together via Steam. After a short introduction we gave them some time to play a couple of matches to see if they complement each other.
We do not have the pressure of time or the results, so we want to be somewhat confident that there is no friction between teammates and that they all support and respect each other. We were looking for players who are willing to train and who understand what real competitive team play is. Of course, the goal of this is fun but we still require a sufficient dose of seriousness for true competitive gameplay. Road toward this goal will be bumpy, but as goes for all things in life, you need to put in some effort before results 😉
Ranks are not too important, but let’s say we are looking for players LEM+ rank although people of lower rank are not out of the question. Real situation is that after thousands of hours of play, we can conclude that the Marshals are not as good as they think they are 😉
Since CroHQ as community currently has no sponsors and is funded by a handful of people, and (rare) donations we can currently offer limited sponsorship to the team. What we initially offer to the team is one game server, room on Team Speak and place on the web where we will be posting their lineup, and where a variety of news, videos and other team information will be published. Also, depending on the success there is the possibility of awards in keys or some other CS:GO items but more about that a little later when these successes come 😉
If our plans realize, team becomes more successful and CroHQ as a community bigger, money prizes are not precluded or even sponsorship to go to the regional LAN tournaments. If nothing else, it may cause the attention of some wealthier sponsors so team might even make something of it.
We would be glad for them to succeed, but what the future brings depends mostly on themselves.
In the end we can say that the initial search did not take too long so we found a number of players interested in such a thing. We hope that they will soon start with getting to know each other and trainings , defining roles and most importantly, determine the IGL in order to progress as a team.
The team lineup was just formed so it is not definitive. We will leave it to Vrba and players to decide what to do next as we are here just to enjoy the good and fun gameplay that they will (hopefully) provide. 😉
