Our Rust Server

by | Jan 13, 2016 | News, Servers

It’s been six months since we first launched our Rust server and I think we can boast that in this six months we made a server with a unique game experience.

The main feature of our server is offline protection for players buildings. This protection lasts for 24 hours from the time the last tribe member disconnects from the server. Our goal was to provide not obstructed and a progressive game trough wipe cycle, instead of every time after the login you had to start from scratch because someone broke into the house as soon as you log out because of school, work, need for sleep and any other RL nuisance.

We also offer the opportunity to the players to form groups called “tribes”, and automatic door sharing among members of the tribe.

The whole system functioning of the door is designed in a way that removes the need for keys and locks (lock and codelock), and thus the system works same way as in the Ark. (SteamID of the owner of the door frame is the key to the door that is set to the door frame).

With all this we offer a graphical representation of the data of our system, tribe and players statistics within the game. Within the game through a graphical interface, you can see a variety of information, from simple ones as who is online and how many Tribes there are to a bit more detailed as who farmed how many resources, time spent on the server, frags made (or deaths) and etc.

We have also made some changes in terms of the game balance, for example, increased production of sulfur from rock nodes for 100%.

The primary reason for this increase is primarily in the fact that the raid is difficult because it is not possible to raid offline people, and further – by vanilla values, it is not possible to raid oneself, if with a stone and iron that is gathered oneself builds base, and with sulfur c4.

With this change, we drastically reduced grind for Explosives, from the moment these changes took place survivor experienced more action and shooting between tribes, and one failed raid does not ruin the whole gameplay of a tribe that fails.

We are pleased to see more and more players on the server, and we hope that we will be growing in numbers even more so that we all have fun.

That would be all from this article, good bye and see you ingame.
